Rebirth. Revive. Restore.

I am a phoenix. I am a dreamer. I am the avatar re-incarnated in modern day.

August 2018 marks the beginning of the rest of my life. I quit my job.
In order for growth to exist, death is required. The death of some belief or action or former life gives space for something new. Burn down, destroy what was previously there and allow new to emerge from the ashes. Relinquish and release your old behaviors, habits, thoughts, ideas. Allow parts of your ego to die as needed.

Goodbye, my old corporate 9-5 job life. Hello, freedom.

Life is long, but also short. Why squander time being unhappy or unfulfilled when you can do something about it? It is daunting, but I truly believe effort and intention can help any endeavor flourish.

I do not consider my life until now a waste. My corporate tech job gave me a lot. Money, for one, which is a silly concept but necessary for survival. Good relationships. But I was unpassionate, unfulfilled, empty and void inside. It pushed me to lows I would not have gotten to otherwise. Crawling out of the abyss of these lows helped me understand the full spectrum of human experience. If there is this low, there must be a complementary high. After my wallowing period was over, I became activated. I was motivated.

Everything happens for a reason. The good and the bad, there are lessons to be drawn from everything. Make sure to reflect and not waste these valuable learning opportunities.

Humans easily fall into an entropic state. Entropy is dangerous. It can breed laziness and complacency, which mutates into neglecting one's self for the sake of chugging along life the way it has been, the way it is expected to be, the way society dictates. Not taking the time to pause and think, “Am I happy?”

Contrary to this, objects in motion stay in motion. Generate momentum from within, practice self-care and learn to truly, deeply love yourself. Listen to your heart, it will tell you what you need. Surround yourself with inspiring people and harness their energy. Regardless of the source of your momentum, use it. Keep shooting across the sky at the speed meant for you. Don’t compare yourself to others. Everyone has their own unique pace. Tap into the frequency of life, the ocean of energies surrounding you and within you. Use the energy constructively to activate yourself. You are a pillar of strength and resilience.

No effort is fruitless. If you put effort and intention out into the world, you will be rewarded somehow. Perhaps not in the way you expect, but the universe acknowledges this energy.

These are some of the motivations behind my transformation. It’s going to be hard work, but I’m ready for it. I have passion. I believe in me. I’ve peeled away the outer layers and the zest of life awaits me. I can’t wait.
